As in past events, Louisiana Friday Night 2009 was again dedicated to the memory of Toney Arrington, father of Aneurysm Outreach President, Sheila Arrington, and Tony Sewell, father of Heather Sewell Day, The Red Cake Special Event & Party Planning owner and Aneurysm Outreach Inc. Board Member. Both men died from a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm.
Jenny Heroman, anchor and producer for EATEL 4 Community Connection, and lead singer for Something Blue was Mistress of Ceremonies for this delightful evening at the Varsity Theatre in Baton Rouge on August 14th. The event followed a similar format to 2008 -- a silent auction that included a wide array of items followed by music for listening and/or dancing pleasure by Michael Foster Project and Something Blue.
Sheila Arrington, Micah Maples and Ryan Grob were the primary organizers for Louisiana Friday Night 2009.
Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Louisiana was Diamond (primary) sponsor followed by Medtronic Cardiovascular, and Volks Constructors as Silver sponsors. W. L. Gore was a Platinum Plus sponsor. Bronze sponsors included Albemarle Corporation, Boo Grigsby Foundation, CVT Surgical Center, Entergy Louisiana, Lake After Hours, Lamar Advertising, St. Elizabeth Hospital, SonoSite, Inc., The Vascular Clinic and Vascular Specialty Associates of Baton Rouge. Other sponsors included The Advocate, C. F. Industries, The Chimes, Clear Channel Radio Stations, Michael Foster Project, Moran Printing, Otey White & Associates, Rubicon, Inc., Something Blue and The Varsity Theatre.
Proceeds will be used to assist in providing future screening programs as well as meeting operational needs. |
