The event featured a south Louisiana dinner, live music, dancing, a raffle and a silent auction of items including weekend getaways, local artwork and autographed NFL jerseys. Scott Rogers, television and radio host and columnist, served as master of ceremonies. Guests enjoyed a traditional menu of jambalaya and red beans and rice as they were entertained by Captain Legendary and Boudin Cajun Band. |

Major organizers of the event were Heather Sewell Day, who lost her father in January to a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm; Jessica Ketcham, an LSU student who lost here 13-year-old sister two years ago to a ruptured brain aneurysm; and Sheila Arrington, founder and president of Aneurysm Outreach Inc., who lost her father to an abdominal aortic aneurysm and has had numerous family members affect by abdominal aortic aneurysms. |
